PPG and ROKiT Williams Racing Host Refinish Customers

One hundred and twenty automotive refinish customers from the EMEA region were given a up-close look into life in the fast lane whilst attending the 2019 Formula One pre-season testing in Barcelona, Spain.
PPG and the ROKiT Williams Racing Formula One team treated our refinish customers to a preview of the 2019 F1 season during testing at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya. We have been a Williams partner since 2003, working closely with the renowned F1 team to ensure its world-class race cars are protected by world-class coatings.
This was an excellent opportunity to reward our customers, strengthen relationships and showcase PPG’s capabilities as a provider of coatings technology for one of Formula One’s premier racing teams.

The guests watched from a hospitality suite overlooking the pit lane and the home straight as ROKiT Williams drivers tested the teams new FW42 car on the Catalunya track. They also visited the ROKiT Williams Racing garage, explored the Formula One Paddock and viewed live track action from several vantage points.
Our PPG team were proud to highlight our advanced coatings technology and our commitment to solving the coatings challenges of our customers, including the needs of the Williams team for durable, lightweight and glare-resistant automotive coatings for its Formula One cars.

Another highlight was meeting the
Williams team drivers
George Russell and
Robert Kubica, in addition to one of the teams engineers. The visits took place over two days, with 60 guests from Spain, Turkey, France and Scandinavia attending on day one, and 60 guests from Poland, the Middle East, Benelux and the United Kingdom enjoying the action on day two.
