AC UK and Ireland inspires students to “Make the Grade”

PPG AC UK and Ireland experts are sharing their experience with local school students as part of an ongoing outreach programme “Make the Grade”.

Make the Grade is an Ahead Partnership initiative that builds relationships between schools and businesses, helping students gain a better understanding of career opportunities.

PPG’s partnership with BBG Academy in Birstall, England dates back to 2015. The programme of activity has included a scheme for fuelling girls’ interest in science, student visits to PPG labs and mock interviews to help prepare graduating students for work.

Most recently, PPG employees attended a career fair at the school that attracted 120 students. Make the Grade is funded through an $8,000 grant from PPG’s community engagement programme.
