Fighting Discrimination with Inspiration - A Lesson from Manon Genest

In December, the PPG Architectural France HR team organised an event to raise awareness on disability in their Head Office in Rueil.

The goal: to counter stigma and discrimination around the disabled.

The team invited Manon Genest, the French 24 year old who won gold in Para-triathlon World Championships in Rotterdam in 2016.

Manon suffers from a hidden disability. She has hearing loss and faced a serious car accident that permanently affecting the left side of her body. She gave us a great lesson on how to bring together performance & disability, make a strength from its principal weakness.

Around 60 PPG employees attended to learn this incredible life lesson, rich in emotion it was an opportunity to prove to the non-disabled that difference does not mean inability!
