Editors Note: Carrying Forward the Spirit of PPG People

As we bid farewell to the PPG People blog and its associated social media channels, we celebrate a decade-long journey that embodied growth, transformation, and collaboration. From its humble beginnings in 2012 as an internal EMEA regional printed magazine to its evolution into a global external digital platform, the blog has highlighted our people’s remarkable achievements and their impact on PPG’s success.

In 2016, we embraced digital platforms, expanding the blog’s reach and influence. By 2019, a modern redesign and focus on alignment with business priorities set the stage for further transformation. Since 2022, under the leadership of Xenia Struharova and Anna Pekarova, the platform shifted to more focused storytelling, highlighting business achievements, global collaboration, and meaningful customer connections.

“The blog was built on a people-first approach, celebrating the achievements of our employees while aligning their stories with our business priorities. By partnering with our businesses and functions, we highlighted innovation, growth, and sustainability, reinforcing our purpose and values. Beyond sharing stories, the blog built #PPGProud ambassadors, boosted brand awareness, and served as a meaningful external recognition platform for employees and leaders, showcasing their contributions to our success.” Xenia Struharova, employee communications partner

Over the years, we shared 600 stories, appeared in more than two million Google searches, and engaged global audiences with campaigns like Famous Buildings by PPG and Colorful Murals by PPG. On social media, we reached 35.8 million people and fostered collaboration across regions, functions, and teams. “Social media amplified these achievements, creating a space to connect, celebrate, and collaborate as One PPG,” said Anna Pekarova, communications associate.

As we explore new content possibilities, the essence of the PPG People blog lives on. Its legacy will inspire future storytelling, ensuring our people remain at the heart of PPG’s continued growth and transformation. Thank you for painting the PPG story with us! Follow our LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X and Threads channels to stay up-to-date with PPG news.
