Hungary for Success at WorldSkills 2017

At this year's Worldskills 2017 PPG made a name for itself, showcasing world-class painter Szabolcs Cseke works as a representative of the PPG Trilak Academy, Hungary.

Worldskills is a biennial event that takes place once every two years, this year it was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The event showcases the talented individuals' skills who come from practically-skilled industries around the world.
Taking competitors from Bakeries, Plumbing facilities, IT and Electronic companies, the event aims to inspire the next generation of craftsmen and women.

Represented and sponsored by PPG Trilak, Szabolcs was trained at PPG Trilak's Paint Academy which sees around 500 paint professionals each year, Szabolcs Cseke was entered into the competition after showing an incredible talent and interest in his painting skills.

The PPG Trilak Paint Academy, Hungary trains and educates the current and next generation of painters where all the material paints used are donated by PPG to allow for more engaging, vocational and practical education.

Szabolcs was trained and sponsored at PPG Trilak by Paint Academy leader József Horváth, and technical expert advisor Csaba Csáki who recognised his talent and positive attitude early on and also came with Szabolcs to Abu Dhabi to motivate him during the competition.

Szabolcs competed in the Painting and Decorating category, facing 23 other young professionals and perfectionists. Szabolcs did extremely well, making it fourth and earning himself the position to be a part of the top five best recognised painters and decorators in the world.

Now Szabolcs sets his sights on the Euroskills 2018 which will be held in Budapest, sponsored by PPG Trilak. Szabolcs' tutors and fellow academy students are both incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing Szabolcs become even more successful in the year to come.
