This year, five PPG paint brands are celebrating hundreds of years of paint history and colorful coatings innovation. That’s quite an achievement in today’s global marketplace and we couldn’t be prouder.
Our coatings have stood the test of time, and are a testament to the innovation and quality that have differentiated our brands for generations. We are very proud of our efforts to protect and beautify our communities through the centuries, and we look forward to serving our customers for decades to come.

SIGMA COATINGS™
This year marks an astounding 300 years of innovation for Sigma Coatings by PPG. What started in 1722 in the Netherlands with milling pigments in a windmill grew into a global professional paint brand, renowned for its excellent quality of products and aservices.
The Sigma Coatings portfolio features a range of high-performance coatings, including Sigma Allure, Sigma Perfect and Sigma Pearl Clean. Its products are available in 13 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
This is such an exciting opportunity to celebrate the craftmanship of professional painters. They are the ones who have made the craftsmanship evolve over the years. As with National Painters' Day, we want to thank them as they protect and beautify the world day in and day out.

Sustainability will continue to guide Tikkurila innovations in both paint and packaging.

GORI®
Gori by PPG dates back to 1902 when Wilhelm O. Ehrenskjold first introduced GoriOil to protect wood against shipworm and gribble. The brand took off in the 1960s after the housing boom created a big market for the treatment, protection and maintenance of wood elements. It was a strong foundation to grow from - today Gori remains a leading woodcare product across Europe.
In 1971, Gori raised the bar again when it announced its ‘non-polluting procurement of wood protection,’ making it one of the first paint brands to begin incorporating sustainability into its operations. Gori’s connection to the ‘natural wonder of wood’ and its commitment to sustainable practices continue to guide the brand in the 2020s and beyond.
Through the years, the colorful Andy the Mouse has helped Gori get the word out about its high-performing coatings. He’s so popular that he even made it to YouTube, and has helped the brand celebrate its 120th anniversary on social media, on billboards and in other advertisements.
