Career Stories - Adriano Perego

In our latest edition of PPG Careers, Adriano Perego, PPG global color quality manager, Milan, takes a look back at the opportunities he’s been given while working with us and what inspires his work.

Choosing an Unexplored Career Path

Adriano began working for PPG 15 years ago as a chemist in a development lab in Milan. He quickly grew to experience different jobs throughout the organization, eventually becoming responsible for the commercial transportation business. He chose an unexplored path, which provided him with a flexibility that improved his productivity while driving his career forward. His courage led to success! This excellence is visible in his work.

Revolution in Color Laboratory

In the color laboratory, he successfully led the transformation towards a full automatization process in our Milan site. In his current position, which also includes heading the “One PPG” color connect across the organization and business units, Adriano works closely with our labs to ensure that customers are receiving  the best quality product.

I like my role because it is not a static activity; it’s not an everyday routine. PPG gave me the possibility to build a career and to build activities where design has not been very well explored before.

Finding Inspiration & the Work-Life Balance

Outside of his position with us, Adriano enjoys spending time with his family and is intrigued by art exhibitions, design and fashion. He tries to draw as much inspiration as he can from those around him.

I need to be inspired by people that are doing great things, something important which makes a difference. This gives me an energy – a fuel to do things better while improving my work.

Dive into his inspirations, career motivations and his PPG journey in the video above.
