Behind the Paints with Agata Kedzior

At PPG, we are grateful for all of our employees around the world, including our frontline employees who often work behind the scenes in our manufacturing facilities, research laboratories, stores and other PPG sites to make it happen. In our new “Behind the Paints" series, we introduce you to members of our frontline team and showcase the many ways they run it like they own it – at work and in the community.

After a full workweek in the Coil and Coating Laboratory at PPG's Architectural Coatings site in Cieszyn, Poland, Agata Kędzior often spends a few more hours as a volunteer for Szlachetna Paczka. The non-profit organization works with volunteers across the country to identify and support individuals and families in need. The volunteers also prepare packages of food, clothing and other essential items to help families get through difficult times.

Agata became actively involved with Szlachetna Paczka during its lead-up to the 2021 holiday season and quickly took on two key roles with the organization. As a volunteer, she spent time meeting and talking with a family several times a month to help her understand their challenges. As a donor on behalf of PPG, she later led efforts to prepare packages to help them manage trying times. Through her leadership, the Cieszyn site collected enough food, clothing, toys and other items to fill 15 boxes valued at PLN 10,000, which is the equivalent of $2,500.
Volunteering with Szlachetna Paczka can be demanding but it's so fulfilling. It brings me a lot of satisfaction. I don't think I'll ever forget the children's joy after we delivered the packages.
Agata brings the same level of commitment to her role as a research and development specialist in the Coil and Coating Laboratory, where she serves as a member of the European color matching team and specializes in tinting pastes.
